Gmail Autopilot - another Google April Fools' Day "Joke"

"As more and more everyday communication takes place over email, lots of people have complained about how hard it is to read and respond to every message. This is because they actually read and respond to all their messages."

I guess this would be a super feature for all corporate employees, but most of the people I know simply use "outlook rules" for that. Not exactly as good as "Autopilot", but does the job of sorting and hiding emails so we don't have to read and answer every one of them. Gmail filters will also work. I wish gmail filters were as powerful as Outlook ones...

Complaints Search Engine

We decided to launch new complaints search engine, based on the network of well established consumer advocate sites. Great thanks to Google for providing custom search engine tools.

New consumer complaints search is located on our previous homepage pissedconsumer.org and will be easy to find and remember. It aggregates information from some of the sites we talked about before and adds some more into the mix.

Google Down - This site may harm your computer

A bit surprised, but this morning every Google Result indicates that "This site may harm your computer" Not only "MAY".... but Google probably Will!!! :)

I can only wonder what kind of impact will it make to overall consumer traffic and Google Revenue. I would not be surprised to see Antitrust cases going against Google in the near future.

I can only hope that this issue is localized to our IP or at least our Google Datacenter, otherwise 75% of people online can not reach sites they are looking for.

Consumer and Downturn in The economy

During every downturn of the economy consumer experience pressure from all the sides of the spectrum. We are experiencing pressure from weakening dollar, higher national debt, rising unemployment and scams.

This site will not help you to fight of weakening dollar, import/export dis-balance or national debt issues. This site will expose scams targeting consumers. Corporations in their thrust for higher profits in a short term will hurt consumers. Corporations concern themselves with only short term impact of their actions even though it is longer term impact that they should be worried about.

In a short term consumer may pay the price for a substandard goods or services but on a longer term consumer will never spend a dime at that establishment. Management of the corporation that are concerned with a short term gains are rewarded for short term rather then long term set of goals.

I would like to welcome everyone comments on this topic to understand the impact of the short term management on a consumer.

Consumer Review Sites

There are bunch of places online where we can share information about issues we had with companies or products. In this first spot we would like to introduce couple of sites that were created to help consumers fight corporations.

One of the largest and oldest sites is Rip Off Report or (ROR). ROR is online almost 10 years and ran by Ed Magedson, one of the best online consumer advocates. ROR is trying to help consumers by putting them together with companies and making sure companies address claims and resolve caused problems.

Another good site for consumer complaints is Complaints Board (CB). CB is trying a bit different approach by attracting many people to post complaints and make them searchable. By helping people make their complaints searchable CB makes users aware of the problems with the company. Most of the CB complaints are very negative and their quantity can be used as one of the indicator of how company's customer service really performs.

Since we talked about ROR and CB, I think it would make sence to add another gripe site into this mix. Third site that I would like to talk about is called My Three Cents . My Three Cents is one of the smaller sites, but serves very similar purpose. My Three Cents is truing to follow ROR with thei r new advocacy program and subscript payments.
